Marlaina Faye
Marlaina Faye, a New York native, began her art career as a custom Faux Finisher and Muralist. Her Mural work is featured in Penn Station and Clothing Showrooms in The Empire State Building in NYC. After customizing both residential and commercial atmospheres throughout Manhattan and the Tri-State area for several years, she met her husband and moved to Los Angeles, where she continued her Design business.
Once her son was born she decided to take her artwork on a different path. Instead of traveling to locations and designing strictly commissioned works she began to create paintings in her home studio.
In a most fortunate stroke of luck, Marlaina moved to Boulder, CO in the summer of 2013 to be close to family and found her inspiration through nature. At the time raising a 2 year old, Marlaina found her ‘style’ – Contemporary, Abstract Impressionism while using extremely saturated colors. “The textures I developed in Faux Finishing have inspired some of my latest landscapes. The intense colors and natural setting in Colorado have inspired my passion and desire to create something beautiful. I feel grateful to live in such a special place. Boulder is an ‘Artist’s Dream!’. I look forward to continuing to explore my surroundings and create heartfelt paintings!”
Marlaina currently resides in Boulder, CO near the foothills of the Rockies with her husband, Joel and their son Jonah.
Her art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that she stands behind the quality and value of her products.
